Fremont Police Citizen Academy

The Fremont Police Department offers twice a year a "Citizen Academy". It’s a program for citizens, 12 weeks long one or two weekday evenings or on a weekend, where for a few hours you can get a great look behind the scenes and see what it really is that the police does. This means presentations from the different departments, e.g. traffic, patrol, detectives, SWAT, crime scene investigation, jail, etc. with pictures, movies, discussions, demonstrations, and more. We also did two ride-alongs with a patrol officer and spent one morning at the police range. It was incredibly interesting and educational.
